Year-Round Continuing Care Program
Wellspring’s entire focus is on living a healthy lifestyle for the long run. In order to help ensure this, Wellspring provides a year-round Continuing Care program after the conclusion of camp.
Wellspring’s online Continuing Care program provides campers with easy daily access to self-monitoring, their Behavioral Coach from camp, and other campers supporting one another to reach their goals. Campers self-monitor, journal, set goals, and weigh-in. At the same time, their BC from camp – the coach they developed a close relationship with – is closely monitoring their progress and providing feedback and support.
Campers are introduced to the Continuing Care program by their BC in the last week of camp. Wellspring is dedicated to campers’ success, which is why if the Continuing Care program is adhered to with a defined level of consistency in the six months after camp, the cost of Continuing Care program is fully refunded to them.
The fee is refunded based on meeting two criteria:
- Camper completes 140 out of 180 days of self-monitoring (3 food items with fat and calories recorded per day)
- Parent (or camper) obtains a verified height and weight and provides this form back to Wellspring via mail, fax, or email.
But the support doesn’t stop there. The Continuing Care program, which is so critical to a camper’s successful transition home and maintenance of a healthy lifestyle, continues until June 1, 2011. Further, if other family members wish to use the Continuing Care site to participate throughout the fall (and help role model self-monitoring for their son or daughter – which we strongly encourage), they may do so free of charge.
